Exactly a month ago, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) showcased 10 new and refreshed two wheeler models in India. One of the models that got a lot of interest was the Rebel 300. Honda has now launched the motorcycle in India at Rs 2.22 lakh, ex showroom Bengaluru. The E Clutch version costs Rs 2.62 lakh.
The Rebel 300 is a smaller cruiser with a low seat and simple design. Honda is offering it through its BigWing dealerships. Bookings have already started and deliveries are expected from mid October 2026.
The motorcycle is available in two versions. The standard model uses a regular manual clutch. The more expensive version gets Honda E Clutch technology.
The E Clutch version costs Rs 40,000 more than the standard bike.
The Rebel 300 uses a 286cc liquid cooled single cylinder engine. It makes 30hp and 27.5Nm and comes with a six speed gearbox.
Honda has kept the motorcycle fairly simple mechanically. The low seat and relaxed riding position should also make it easier for riders who prefer a cruiser style motorcycle.
The higher variant gets Honda’s E Clutch system. It can operate the clutch during starts and gear changes without the rider using the clutch lever.
The foot-operated gear shifter is still there, so the rider can continue to change gears manually. The clutch lever is also retained for riders who want full manual control. This makes the E Clutch version different from a conventional automatic motorcycle.

The bike also gets a tubular steel frame with telescopic front suspension and twin rear shock absorbers.
The Rebel 300 follows a bobber style design. It has a compact fuel tank, exposed frame and blacked out parts. The low seat gives the bike its familiar cruiser stance.
The styling takes inspiration from the larger Rebel 500. The round headlamp, curved fenders and exposed mechanical parts give it a clear Rebel family look.
Honda has opened bookings across its BigWing dealership network. Buyers can reserve the motorcycle by paying Rs 5,000.

The Rebel 300 will compete with motorcycles such as the Royal Enfield Meteor 350. The Meteor starts at around Rs 2 lakh, ex showroom.
