A Newcastle mum has vented her frustration after a grocery delivery she ordered was dumped outside, damaging several items.

Ashlea Rhode decided to check her Ring doorbell footage after seeing the condition that the items arrived in.

The footage showed the driver approaching her home before emptying the groceries onto the concrete pavement and leaving with the Coles bag.

She was even sent a photo through the Uber Eats app confirming the order had been delivered.

'It's actually diabolical the fact he took and submitted the picture of his handiwork,' she told Yahoo News.

As a new mum, Ms Rhode uses the app for the convenience of having groceries and other supplies delivered.

Several items were damaged in the delivery, while other products were missing from her $103 order.

Ms Rhode was also left baffled by the driver's decision to dump the groceries on the ground before taking the bag with him.

She said she could understand if he had run out of paper bags but questioned why he had not knocked on her door and given her the opportunity to find another solution.

While she was frustrated by the incident, Ms Rhode said she did not want to publicly criticise the driver, describing it as a 'silly mistake' and stressing that no one had been hurt.

'I'm not gonna be name-calling him, or talking bad about him, for something that was just a silly mistake, a silly choice to make,' she said.

However, she said the incident was 'not necessarily great service' and did not warrant a tip.
