From the much-awaited return of Ted Lasso to the Kargil War drama Operation Safed Sagar and the second season of Tamil crime thriller Vadhandhi, here’s what to watch between August 3 and August 7.
Ted Lasso Season 4

The Emmy-winning sports comedy returns after a two-year break. Jason Sudeikis reprises his role as the optimistic football coach, who now takes charge of a second-division women’s football team at AFC Richmond. Familiar faces including Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, Juno Temple, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift return, alongside several new cast members.
Operation Safed Sagar: The Untold Story of the Kargil War

Directed by Oni Sen, this Hindi military drama chronicles the Indian Air Force’s role during the Kargil War, focusing on the Golden Arrows Squadron and the joint military operation known as Operation Safed Sagar. The series features Siddharth, Jimmy Shergill, Dia Mirza, Abhay Verma, Prajakta Koli, Adil Hussain, Mihir Ahuja, Taaruk Raina, Arnav Bhasin and Amrita Bagchi.
Vadhandhi Season 2

The Tamil mystery series returns with a fresh investigation titled The Mystery of Mani. M. Sasikumar takes over as SI Moosa Raza, who investigates skeletal remains discovered at a highway construction site during the Jallikattu festival in Madurai. Directed by Andrew Louis, the new season also stars Anagha Maruthora, Aparna Das, Vivek Prasanna, Revathy Sharma and Arjun Nandhakumar.

After a successful theatrical run, Imtiaz Ali’s period romance makes its OTT debut. Set against the backdrop of the Partition, the film stars Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Sharvari and Vedang Raina. The film earned strong word-of-mouth and went on to collect over Rs 98 crore worldwide after a modest opening at the box office.
Other notable releases
Several international titles are also arriving this week. Sterling Point, a coming-of-age drama, premieres on Amazon Prime Video on August 5, while Netflix releases the second part of One Hundred Years of Solitude the same day. My Life with the Walter Boys Season 3 arrives on August 6, continuing the popular teen drama.
On August 7, viewers can also stream sci-fi thriller The Last House, animated comedy Alley Cats, mystery series Vanished, the season finale of Sugar Season 2, Oscar-winning drama Hamnet, animated adventure The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and political drama Governor: The Silent Saviour across various OTT platforms.
