He continues to be a big supporter of Quebec outré rock
Lars Ulrich is continuing his support of Quebec's adventurous rock scene. The Metallica drummer is a well-documented fan of Angine de Poitrine, having travelled all the way to France to see them in a small club — and now he's gone to their show again, where he also hung out with opener Population II.
Last night (August 19), Angine de Poitrine played a sold-out show at the Independent in Metallica's hometown of San Francisco. Evidently Lars was on hand, since openers Population II posed for a photo with him and shared it to their Instagram Story.
He either hung out before or after the show, since the venue appears to be empty in the photo. See the photo below.
Neither Ulrich nor Angine posted about the meet-up, but given their relationship, Lars was presumably there to see them.
