Buying a Hyundai car may cost a little more from next month. Hyundai Motor India has announced a price increase of up to 1% across its vehicle range from September 2026. The exact increase will not be the same for every car. It will depend on the model and the variant chosen by the buyer.

The company has linked the revision to higher costs faced across its business. Prices of several inputs and commodities have gone up, while operating expenses have also increased. Hyundai has also pointed to geopolitical and wider economic uncertainty.

Hyundai has not shared the new prices for individual models yet. For now, the main details are:

Hyundai currently has a wide range of cars in India. Its line up starts with the Grand i10 Nios and goes up to the Ioniq 5 electric SUV. The current prices range from Rs 5.60 lakh to Rs 55.70 lakh, ex showroom.

Car makers have been dealing with higher input costs for some time. Hyundai says it has tried to control these expenses and absorb part of the increase so that customers do not face the full impact.

However, the company says the pressure has continued for long enough to require a small part of the extra cost to be passed on to buyers.

This is not Hyundai’s first price revision this year. The company had already increased prices from January 1 by around 0.6% on a weighted average basis.

A second increase followed in June. Hyundai had earlier planned that revision for May, but it was pushed back by a month. The June increase went up to Rs 12,800, depending on the model and variant.

The September increase will be Hyundai’s third price hike of 2026. Since the company has not released model wise figures, buyers will have to wait for the updated price list to know the exact difference.

The increase may be small on some models, but the final amount will depend on the car and variant. Buyers planning to purchase a Hyundai should therefore check the price before booking.

Other car makers have also raised prices this year. Maruti Suzuki announced another increase in July, while Mahindra and Tata Motors have also revised prices across their ranges.
