Mahindra Last Mile Mobility has crossed an important milestone in India’s electric vehicle market. The company has now sold more than 4 lakh electric vehicles across the country, with its models being used by drivers, delivery partners and small business owners for their daily work. This also makes Mahindra the first commercial vehicle manufacturer in India to cross this sales mark.

The milestone covers Mahindra’s electric vehicles used for both passenger and cargo work. Its range includes the Treo family, UDO, Zor Grand, ZEO and e-Alfa.

Mahindra says its electric vehicles have together covered more than 9 billion kilometres.

The company says its EVs are being used by drivers, delivery partners, shopkeepers and small business owners. For these users, running costs and daily earnings are important when choosing a vehicle.

Mahindra has also invested in financing, customer support, partnerships and new products to support electric commercial vehicle adoption.

Mahindra Last Mile Mobility now wants to put one million electric vehicles on Indian roads by 2031. The company plans to support this target through new products, financing options, partnerships and customer service.

Suman Mishra, Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, said the 4 lakh figure also represents the livelihoods supported by these vehicles. She said the company will continue working on products and services that make electric mobility easier for last mile customers.
