Fake IndiGo e-ticket lands Goa-bound passenger in trouble at RGIA

Hyderabad: Immigration authorities caught a passenger attempting to board a flight to Goa after discovering that the e-ticket he was carrying was fake at the RGIA on Sunday.

According to airport officials, the passenger, identified as Syed from Jagtial district, had approached an agent identified as Aslam from Korutla to book an IndiGo flight ticket to Goa. The agent allegedly sent a forged e-ticket through WhatsApp, claiming the booking had been confirmed, and collected the fare from the passenger.

However, when Syed arrived at the airport to board the flight, airline staff found that the ticket was not genuine during verification. When he tried to contact the agent, there was no response.

Based on the victim’s complaint, the RGIA police registered a case and are investigating the alleged ticket fraud.
