Vishwanath And Sons Box Office Collection Day 6: Suriya and Mamitha Baiju's Tamil-Telugu family romantic drama Vishwanath And Sons continued its theatrical run on Wednesday, August 19, despite witnessing a decline from the previous day. The film, directed by Venky Atluri, was released in cinemas on August 14 and is currently in its first week.

According to box office tracking site Sacnilk, Vishwanath And Sons earned an estimated ₹5.10 crore net in India on Day 6. The collection came from 5,093 shows, with the film recording an overall occupancy of 21% on Wednesday.

The Day 6 figure was lower than Tuesday's ₹6.35 crore, marking a 19.7% decline from Day 5. With the latest addition, the film's India net collection has reached ₹77.40 crore, while its India gross collection stands at ₹89.49 crore.

The film has also been recording business from overseas markets. Its Day 6 overseas gross was estimated at ₹1 crore, taking the cumulative overseas gross to around ₹46 crore. As a result, Vishwanath And Sons has reached a worldwide gross of ₹135.49 crore after six days.

The film had a strong opening weekend, earning an estimated ₹15.35 crore on its first day, followed by ₹22.25 crore on Saturday and ₹20.55 crore on Sunday. Collections subsequently came down during the weekdays, with Monday recording ₹7.80 crore and Tuesday ₹6.35 crore.

Sacnilk's figures indicate that the Tamil version collected around ₹2.50 crore, while the Telugu version earned approximately ₹2.60 crore in India on Day 6.

The Tamil version registered an occupancy of about 19% across 3,102 shows, whereas the Telugu version recorded around 24% occupancy from 1,991 shows.

Vishwanath And Sons follows Sanjay Vishwanath, an industrialist and rifle shooter who takes part in the 2024 Paris Olympics. His personal life takes an unexpected turn after he returns to India with his newborn son Abhay, who was born through surrogacy.

When Abhay requires a bone marrow transplant, Sanjay begins searching for his surrogate mother, Maddy J, a medical student in the US. Her eventual arrival in India becomes an important part of the family's story and changes Sanjay's perspective on relationships and parenthood.

Suriya and Mamitha Baiju headline the film, with Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon also appearing in important roles. Venky Atluri has written and directed the movie, while Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya have produced it under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, with Srikara Studios presenting the film.

The technical crew includes composer G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematographer Nimish Ravi and editor Navin Nooli. Production design is by Banglan.
