Officers with the Amherstburg Detachment responded Aug. 16 to a report that a 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted.
The adult male who allegedly assaulted the teen was known to her.
The man also allegedly requested and received intimate images and videos of the girl through an unnamed social media platform.
The teen told her mother what had happened and her mother contacted police. The suspect was arrested that same day.
The man has been charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and telecommunication with a person under the age of 18.
