BSE Index Services Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of BSE, on Wednesday launched a series of three Growth Factor Indices aimed at providing systematic exposure to companies with strong earnings and sales growth characteristics across market segments.

The three indices, BSE 500 Growth 50, BSE MidCap 150 Growth 30, and BSE LargeCap 100 Growth 30, select constituents based on EPS growth and sales per share growth. The BSE 500 Growth 50 tracks 50 companies from the BSE 500 universe with a 4 per cent stock-level weight cap, while the two other indices track 30 companies each from their respective universes with a 5 per cent weight cap.

All three indices carry a base value of 1,000, with a first value date of June 23, 2008. They will be reconstituted quarterly in March, June, September, and December.

The BSE LargeCap 100 Growth 30, for which a July 2026 factsheet was released, currently sits at a total returns index level of 10,919.70. It has delivered annualised total returns of 20.97 per cent over three years and 14.37 per cent over five years. The index carries a PE ratio of 23.33 and a price-to-book ratio of 6.51. Its top constituents include Bajaj Finance, Mahindra & Mahindra, Titan Company, and Bajaj Auto, with Consumer Discretionary and Financial Services as the two largest sector exposures at 31.49 per cent and 20.21 per cent respectively.

The weighting methodology combines float-adjusted market capitalisation with growth scores. The indices can serve as benchmarks for ETFs, index funds, PMS strategies, and mutual fund schemes.

Ashutosh Singh, MD & CEO of BSE Index Services, said the indices offer asset managers a transparent, rules-based framework to build investment products aligned with India’s long-term growth story. The launch adds a Growth strategy to BSE’s existing factor index suite, which already covers Momentum, Quality, Enhanced Value, Low Volatility, and Multi-Factor strategies.
