A few days ago we reported about the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition being spotted, and now the brand has officially launched the motorcycle in India. The new version brings a military inspired look to the familiar Classic 350 and carries the name of the Gorkha Regiment. It costs Rs 2.11 lakh ex-showroom New Delhi and bookings have started.
The biggest change is the new Gorkha Green colour. It gives the motorcycle a strong army style appearance without making the Classic 350 look very different from the regular model.
The fuel tank carries a Gorkha Edition sticker, while the side panels feature the crossed Khukris. This is the official insignia associated with the Gorkha Regiment.
There is no major change to the engine package. The motorcycle uses Royal Enfield’s 349cc J-series single cylinder engine. It produces 20.2bhp and 27Nm and works with a five speed gearbox.
The Gorkha Edition also gets the Assist and Slipper Clutch. A Type-C USB charging port is included too. The tripper pod is not fitted as standard, but buyers can get it as an accessory.
Royal Enfield has also introduced a separate Gorkha Collection with the motorcycle. The range includes helmets, leather boots, headgear, clothing and collectibles.
The products use military inspired details and carry elements such as the crossed Khukris. Jet and Quest helmets are also part of the collection.
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition is priced at Rs 2.11 lakh ex-showroom in New Delhi. Bookings have opened across Royal Enfield dealerships.
The Classic 350 continues to be one of the brand’s biggest sellers in India. The new edition adds a special look and a clear connection with the Gorkha Regiment without changing the bike’s familiar mechanical package.
