Rosie O’Donnell returned to Jimmy Kimmel Live!, which she is guest hosting all week, on Tuesday with more barbs aimed at Donald Trump.
The comedian, who is one of Trump’s most vocal critics alongside Kimmel, has surprised viewers by not focusing too much on the president during her late night monologues.
Nevertheless, O’Donnell did have something to say about Trump’s latest claim in the war against Iran.
In a captionless post on Truth Social on Tuesday morning, the president circled the strait and labeled it “new U.S. territory.”
Nicknaming Trump “Velvito Corleone,” O’Donnell showed the map to her audience Tuesday, saying it “made literally no sense.”
“I’ll put it this way: If the US is in charge of the strait, then I’m also straight,” she continued. “And let’s face it, I’m not. The moron-a-thon continues.”
Despite Trump’s post, U.S. forces have thus far been unable to guarantee safe passage for ships through the Strait.
Iran’s deputy foreign minister called the president’s assertion a “delusion” and warned that the U.S. could not seize the waterway by “tweet” or with military force.

Earlier in the monologue, O’Donnell even thanked Trump for the renewed attention he has brought to her career.
“This has been kind of a strange experience for me because all of a sudden I’m re-famous,” she said.
“I’m back in the spotlight, all thanks to President Oompa J. Loompa, who is watching us this evening from inside a catering cart,” she added, referencing Trump’s mode of escape following an assassination threat from Iran.
“You know, I couldn’t have done it without you, sweetie,” the host quipped. “You brought me back — just like you did with fascism and the measles.”
