Global Pickleball Federation’s At-Large board member Chandler Carney has accepted a new position on the GPF Executive Committee as Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). Carney will be joining ExCom as a non-voting member.
Her appointment is in accordance with sections 7.1 and 8.6 of the 2026 GPF Bylaws.
Crucial appointment
Carney’s new role shows the importance of compliance as a core integrity of the GPF. It also sends a message to the International Olympic Committee regarding the GPF’s aim to receive IOC recognition.
Carney’s position is pivotal as it confirms that compliance is at the forefront of all GPF initiatives, which include governance and statutory compliance, ethics and conflicts of interest, integrity, anti-doping interface, investigations and training, and member country support.
Background: Three-time member of Chile’s national pickleball team
Carney is a US attorney and also a three-time member of Chile’s national pickleball team (2023-25). She was elected to a second term on the Global Pickleball Federation (GPF) Board of Directors, and also serves as Chair of the GPF Legal Committee. Through the GPF Legal Committee, she leads the federation’s work on policy, contract drafting, commercial review, and institutional development.
Chandler got her J.D from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law and her BA from the University of West Florida. She is bilingual in English and Spanish, with a decent command of Portuguese. She has been helping GPF build durable, transparent and athlete-centred governance structures, which can support pickleball’s transition into a global sport.
