The short gameplay clip appears to feature co-protagonist Jason Duval at a waterfront property. Jason can be seen walking toward a basketball hoop and shooting at the basket. The setup appears similar to one shown previously in official GTA 6 imagery, prompting speculation among fans about whether the leaked footage could be genuine.
The clip also appears to show elements of the game's user interface. A stamina meter and currency counter can reportedly be seen as Jason moves around the property.
However, the footage has not been verified. According to 9to5Toys, the clip could potentially be from an early development build, modified Rockstar footage or even content created using AI. The footage has been linked to a group calling itself **Cyberleek**, though it remains unclear how the material was obtained.

A separate image circulating online claims to show a much broader view of the GTA 6 map.
According to EGW, Cyberleek later published a screenshot showing what appears to be the game world from a zoomed-out perspective. The alleged map reportedly marks Jason's house and features a mysterious alligator-head icon nearby.
The image also contains numerous colored markers spread across the map. These could potentially indicate activities or businesses, including clothing stores and tattoo parlors. However, their exact meaning has not been confirmed.
The alleged map remains unverified and should not automatically be considered connected to the gameplay footage. Rockstar Games has not authenticated either piece of circulating material.
The alleged leaks have emerged only days before Rockstar's next official presentation.
Rockstar has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look will premiere on Netflix on August 27. The presentation could offer fans an opportunity to compare the official footage with some of the details currently circulating online.
