Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami convened a key organisational meeting on August 18 at the Bharatiya Janata Party state office in Dehradun. The meeting was attended by Members of Parliament, Members of the Legislative Assembly, district presidents, state office-bearers, and senior party leaders from the Pauri Garhwal, Tehri Garhwal, and Haridwar Lok Sabha constituencies.
The discussions focused on a comprehensive review of party activities across all three Lok Sabha constituencies. According to the Chief Minister’s Office, the meeting emphasised enhancing and activating the party organisation at every level, from assemblies down to individual polling booths, alongside maintaining ongoing communication with party workers and expanding outreach to the public.
Chief Minister Dhami stated that the BJP’s principal strength lies in its robust organisation and committed workers. He highlighted the importance of active worker participation at the booth level, improved coordination between elected representatives and organisational office-bearers, and sustained public engagement to reinforce the party’s structure. He urged representatives and office-bearers to maintain regular contact with workers and prioritise issues related to public welfare.
The meeting also reviewed preparations for forthcoming organisational programmes and campaigns. The Chief Minister underscored the necessity of disseminating information about Central and state government welfare schemes, significant decisions, and development initiatives to all societal segments at the grassroots level through party workers.
Dhami emphasised that effective coordination between the party organisation and the government is crucial for translating development and public service commitments into tangible actions. “Party workers are the strongest bridge between the government and the people, and therefore their role is crucial in conveying public suggestions and grievances to the government and taking government schemes and initiatives to the people,” he said.
The Chief Minister further remarked that, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Uttarakhand is setting new standards in development and public welfare. He noted that the state government has implemented several significant and historic measures while prioritising the interests of every region and social group. The government’s aim is to ensure that the benefits of development projects and welfare schemes reach even those at the last mile.
Dhami called for intensified public outreach and service campaigns, urging the party to focus on strengthening each booth, increasing active worker participation, and maintaining continuous dialogue with the public.
The meeting was attended by BJP state president and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt, MP and former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, MP Anil Baluni, Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, Cabinet ministers, MLAs, state office-bearers, district presidents, senior party leaders, and public representatives.
