Loose Women star Kaye Adams has said that she "kicks herself" for not leaving her BBC radio presenting gig years before she was “axed” amid bullying claims.

Earlier this year, the Scottish presenter was removed from her Mornings with Kaye Adams programme on BBC Radio Scotland following an internal disciplinary investigation in which three counts of inappropriate behaviour where upheld.

These reportedly included claims she'd sworn at a colleague, thrown a pen in frustration and criticised an intern’s professional abilities. Two separate bullying complaints were not upheld.

The 63-year-old has now spoken about her exit from the BBC in the first episode of her fellow ITV star Vanessa Feltz's new YouTube series, At Home with Vanessa Feltz.

While talking about entering her 60s three years ago, Adams admitted that she'd wished she'd "grabbed" life and "made some decisions" rather than simply trying to continue on in the same manner.

"I was very unhappy where I was, and I should have left, but I was scared," she said. "I kick myself for that."

Probing, Feltz asked: "Oh really? Because people who've been reading about… the vicissitudes, I'm going to call them, of your career, will maybe not think that.

"They will maybe think you were really happy and they gave you the big E and you didn't want them to, but actually, you wish you'd gone anyway earlier, do you?"

In response, Adams replied: "You're a great journalist, Vanessa, but unfortunately so am I, so I'm not going to say anything about that."

However, she claimed that this was "the truth" and had been her "epiphany".

The Standard has contacted the BBC for comment.

In October 2025, Adams, who has continued to appear on Loose Women, was suspended from her BBC Radio Scotland show after 15 years hosting the show for ÂŁ155,000 per year.
