It’s the turn of the unpopular gambling reforms to dominate headlines this morning, as the government’s various legislative juggling balls switch positions.
The ABC led overnight on the formation of a “one-stop shop” — allowing people to opt out of gambling advertising online — having been agreed to as part of a “tentative deal” between Labor and the Coalition to pass the government’s reforms.
The deal will go to the Labor caucus and Coalition partyroom for final approval today ahead of amendments being tabled in the House of Reps.
