Australia sits on the brink of a first ever Test loss to the Tigers on home soil with just four wickets remaining in the second innings after Alex Carey (30) and Beau Webster (5) fell early on Sunday morning.
The visitors still led by 35 runs when Webster departed after swelling their first innings to 426, before under-fire duo Jake Weatherald (0) and Marnus Labuschagne (31) were among four Australian wickets to fall yesterday.
Hopes of victory now rest with Cameron Green, who reached his first Test half-century since the tour of the Caribbean last July, and skipper Pat Cummins.

Beginning the day on 43 not out, a rearguard effort could be career-defining for the Western Australian – and Kerry O’Keeffe believes it “might be” his day.
“He looked good from the off yesterday,” O’Keeffe told Fox Sports News.
“Cameron Green is a Test-quality batter, everybody acknowledges that. He still hasn’t found his niche within that top six.
“Today will go a long way to ensuring that he stays at five for quite some time.
“If he was to get a hundred today, it would secure himself for most of this long summer.”

DAY 3 WRAP: Aussies clinging on for dear life as another dirty day puts minnows on brink of history
Since making his Test debut in late 2020, Green has two centuries to his name, with both coming overseas.
He faced criticism for his shot selection after giving away his wicket for 13 during Australia’s Day 1 collapse.
