Hyderabad: Over 60,000 families have applied for the Indiramma LIG Housing Scheme in the Core Urban Region of Economy (CURE) area, the government said on Saturday. The draw of lots to select beneficiaries for 7,340 houses will be held on August 20. The last date to apply for another 1,920 homes will end on September 3.

Gautam, Telangana Housing Board secretary.
For the Indiramma LIG Housing Scheme, applicants need to pay an application fee of Rs 100 and an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs 10,000, which will be adjusted upon allotment or refunded otherwise. Those eligible must have annual family income below Rs 6 lakh, and not possess a house, flat or plot within Outer Ring Road (ORR) limits. Allotment of flats is through a lottery process.
Each 1 BHK flat will have a built-up area of 528 sq ft with beneficiary contribution being Rs 6 lakh and the government will provide a subsidy of Rs 5 lakh. The beneficiary will be the owner of undivided land share of up to 30 square yards. As a pilot project, 10-storey Indiramma LIG Housing Towers will initially be built in Hayathhagar, Goshamahal, Musheerabad and Bandlaguda.
3,192 Indiramma Houses to be allotted to beneficiaries by Sept
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad district administration announced that 3,192 Indiramma 2BHK houses will be allotted to beneficiaries by the end of September. According to Hyderabad district collector Dr Priyanka Ala, 2,22,837 new ration cards were sanctioned in the district, while 1,85,946 members had been added to existing cards. She said proposals were submitted to the government for repairing 590 dilapidated houses in six VAMBAY and JNNURM colonies, and reconstruction of houses in 12 colonies.
