A 15-year-old who allegedly threatened two people with a kitchen knife over a communal laundry machine faces several criminal charges.

According to Windsor police, the incident happened shortly after 10 a.m. on Thursday at a residential building in South Windsor.
The teen suspect, investigators learned, had accused two people who live in the same building of turning off a washing machine in a shared laundry facility, leading to an argument.
The suspect allegedly retrieved a large kitchen knife, pointed at the two others involved, and threatened to stab and kill them. One person called 911, âdistracting the suspect and allowing another victim to disarm him,â police said.
The suspect then fled the area. Officers located and arrested him nearby.
The suspect, who cannot be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause death, failure to comply with a release order, and breach of a court order.
