Five men and one woman have been arrested in connection with the reported abduction of a man in Edinburgh.
Around 10.30pm on Thursday, August, 13, police said officers received a report that a man had been abducted in the Canonmills area of the city.
A 22-year-old man was later traced in the Longniddry area on Friday, August 14, and taken to hospital as a precaution.
Five men aged 21, 21, 22, 23 and 45 and a 40-year-old woman have been arrested and extensive enquiries remain ongoing, Police Scotland said.
The force also said that officers believe the incident was "targeted" and there is no risk to the wider public.

The A198 remains closed between Coal Road and the junction for Cunningham Court and a diversion is in place.
Detective Inspector Robbie Wallace said: "We understand an incident of this nature will be concerning but please be assured our enquiries are ongoing.
"Police will remain in the Longniddry area while this investigation continues and anyone with any concerns, or information, can approach these officers."
