O-Train Line 1 service was disrupted just after Thursday morning rush hour as a train stopped at Cyrville Station because of damage to the overhead wiring system, according to Transit Services general manager Rick Leary.

OC Transpo said the train came to a stop at around 9:50 a.m. after a component was damaged between St-Laurent and Cyrville stations.

It meant that, on Thursday, trains were running between Tunney’s Pasture and St-Laurent stations, with R1 replacement buses running between St-Laurent and Blair stations.

OC Transpo said crews were working to safely remove the stopped train from Cyrville Station. Once it was cleared, Leary said, westbound train service was to resume between St-Laurent and Blair. Riders travelling in either direction through the affected area would still need to transfer at St-Laurent.
