Newly released footage of a drunk driver who killed a bride on her wedding day revealed her bizarre conversations with police before they granted her tearful plea to speak with her dad.
Resurfaced footage of her indulgent father sympathizing with her plight quickly went viral after the latest video dump, revealing the tone-deaf conversation where he assured his daughter that 'bad things happen to good people.'
Jamie Komoroski, now 27, was convicted on felony charges of driving under the influence resulting in death and reckless homicide in 2024. She was sentenced to 25 years behind bars for the killing of a new bride, Samantha Miller, 34.
Komoroski slammed into Miller's golf cart on Folly Island in South Carolina on the night of April 28, 2023.
Miller was pronounced dead at the scene, and her husband, Aric Hutchinson, along with their two relatives, were severely injured.
The couple was leaving their wedding reception, and Miller was still in her wedding dress when she was killed.
Following her arrest in 2023, Komoroski had cried to her father in numerous video and audio recordings of jailhouse calls.
A video recording from a jailhouse call revealed Komoroski moaning to her father, Charles, telling him, 'I still just don't know why this had to happen to me.'

'Because bad things happen to good people, honey,' her doting father replied.
'It's just something that happened to you, and we are going to deal with it as best as we can, okay?' he continued.
Komoroski then confessed that she was 'scared' because the media had been 'so involved' in her case, questioning, 'Why are they so involved in it?'
