EXCLUSIVE: Brit actors, comedians and pals Guz Khan and Kiell Smith-Bynoe have been set by Audible for podcast Guz and Kiell Will Not Survive.
Across six episodes, the self-proclaimed survival novices are guided through a series of choose-your-own-adventure survival scenarios taking from the frozen wilderness of Lapland to the Australian Outback. The duo will “make life-or-death decisions as they battle deadly wildlife, extreme weather, and increasingly absurd challenges all without ever leaving the safety of the podcast studio”.
Guiding them through each adventure will be survival expert Megan Hine, best known for her work alongside Bear Grylls on Bear Grylls: Mission Survive.
According to Audible: “With Guz and Kiell turning every challenge into chaos, from vomiting vultures and volcanic eruptions to sperm whale ‘poonados’, crotch rot and Custard Cream-fuelled survival strategies – making it out in one piece is far from guaranteed.”
Man Like Mobeen star Khan said of the show, which launches August 13th: “Who even got me into this? I hope Kiell, expert Megan and the Lord can keep us safe. Ameen.”
Ghosts and Stath Lets Flats actor Kiell Smith-Bynoe added: “This Audible podcast proves that surviving isn’t just about having the right skills, it’s about not listening to Guz. Every episode somehow got more chaotic than the last, and I’m still not convinced we’d last five minutes in any of these situations. I had an absolute blast making it.”
The friends have previously appeared together on series 15 of Taskmaster and in live improv shows such as Kiell Smith-Bynoe’s Kool Story Bro.
