From beloved pets wearing protective eyewear to children using homemade viewing devices to glimpse the spectacular illusion in the skies on Wednesday evening, our readers embraced eclipse fever in full force.
The partial eclipse began shortly after 6pm in parts of the UK, with maximum coverage occurring at roughly 7.05pm to 7.13pm depending on location.
The Moon gradually moved away from the sun and the spectacle ended shortly after 8pm, with huge crowds at prime viewing spots at Primrose Hill in London and Calton Hill in Edinburgh dispersing.
