Bhubaneswar, August 12, 2026: Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Shri Yogesh Bahadur Khurania felicitated 55 police officers and employees with DGP Discs at a special ceremony held at Police Bhawan, Bhubaneswar, in recognition of their exemplary service, dedication and outstanding performance.
Among those honoured were Director, State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB) Avinash Kumar; DIG (Crime Branch) B. Gangadhar; Berhampur SP Dr. Shravan Vivek M.; Angul SP Rahul Jain; Nayagarh SP Subhendu Kumar Patra; Ganjam SP Harish B.C.; Jagatsinghpur SP Ankit Kumar Verma; Nabarangpur SP Kashyap Partha Jagadish; Boudh SP Kuldeep Meena; SDPO, R. Udayagiri (Gajapati), Rakesh Kumar Sahu; and Commandant, 3rd IRB, Kalinga Nagar, Yakub Khan.
The awardees also included several Additional SPs, Deputy Commandants, DSPs, Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, Assistant Sub-Inspectors, Havildars, Drivers and Constables who have made significant contributions to policing and public service.
The DGP Discs were announced earlier on the occasion of the 91st Odisha Police Foundation Day. The honours recognise exceptional contributions to maintaining law and order, improving policing standards and strengthening professionalism across the state.
The ceremony was held under the supervision of Additional Director General of Police (Modernisation) Soumendra Priyadarshi, in the presence of senior officers from the State Police Headquarters.
The DGP Discs symbolise the Odisha Police’s commitment to integrity, discipline, dedication and public service, while acknowledging personnel whose exemplary work continues to uphold the reputation and legacy of the police force.
