A man has been seriously injured during a disturbance in Glasgow city centre.

Around 3.15am on Wednesday, August 12, police received a report of a disturbance outside a premises on Sauchiehall Street.

Officers attended, and a 24-year-old man was traced nearby with serious injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police said officers will remain at the scene while enquiries are carried out.

Anyone with information is encouraged to approach them or contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0339 of 12 August, 2026.

Meanwhile, a man has been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder, serious assault and assault following an alleged disturbance on Sauchiehall Street on Sunday, August 2..

Police said three men and one woman were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

The 20-year-old man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
