On 30 June, Anthropic released Claude Science, an AI-orchestrated platform that integrates the tools used most often by research scientists, from computational biology and drug discovery to literature searches and creation of manuscripts for publication. On the same day, Anthropic partnered with London-based Basecamp Research and its EDEN biological foundation models aimed at accelerating antibiotic discovery and vaccine design.

Also on 30 June, OpenAI launched GeneBench-Pro, its latest version of GeneBench — a tool to test how well AI agents resolve multistage bioinformatic analyses and make scientific judgements to aid computational biologists on issues such as the quality of datasets or which statistical methods are best applied.
