âI try and do some kind of physical activity every day,â she told Elle in an interview published Aug. 3. âI either swim or walk, and do gyrotonics. Iâm still vegan. I take lots of vitamins. I try and sleep as much as possible.â
Plus, Portman emphasized how the pregnancy is helping her choose a healthier lifestyle.Â
âI also feel like being pregnant is almost like a cleanse because you donât drink and canât have caffeine,â she continued. âSo Iâm like, âWow, Iâve never been cleaner in my life.ââ
Beyond the benefit of being health-conscious while pregnant with her and Destableâs first child together, the Black Swan star has reflected on how âvery gratefulâ she is to welcoming a baby in her 40s.Â
âI know itâs such a privilege and a miracle,â Portman told Harperâs Bazaar in April. âI grew up hearing about how hard it is to get pregnant. I have so many people I love whoâve had such a hard time with it that I want to be respectful around that as well. Itâs such a beautiful, joyous thing, and itâs also not an easy thing."
Noting âhow lucky it is,â she concluded, âI have deep appreciation and gratitude.â
