IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026: There is great news for the candidates who are dreaming of getting a government job in the bank. IBPS has announced new recruitment for more than 11400 clerk posts in big government banks of the country. Short notification had already been issued. Now from August 1, IBPS has also started the process of online application after releasing the detailed advertisement on its official website www.ibps.in.
IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026: This recruitment of IBPS will be done for the posts of Customer Service Associate (CSA) i.e. Clerk through Common Recruitment Process (CRP CSA XVI). Appointments will be made in big public sector banks including Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, UCO Bank, Bank of India. This time the exam pattern of clerk has also been changed. There is no change in Prelims. Now the total number of questions in Mains has increased to 160. Whereas last year 155 questions came in the examination. With this the timing has also increased.
Eligibility for IBPS Clerk Recruitment
Educational Qualification: Must have a simple graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Candidates must also have computer skills.
Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 20 years old and a maximum of 28 years old. According to their date of birth, they must have been born no earlier than August 2, 1998, or no later than August 1, 2006. Both dates will be considered. The age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PwBD. To avail reservation benefits, candidates must upload relevant certificates during the application process.

What is the salary of an IBPS Clerk?
After being selected for the position of Bank Clerk (Customer Service Associate), candidates will receive a basic pay of ₹24,050-₹64,480 per month. Additionally, candidates will also receive other perks and benefits, which will further increase their monthly salary.

IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam Pattern
IBPS has made some minor changes to the Clerk exam pattern. However, the Prelims exam pattern remains the same, with only a few questions added in the Mains exam. Check out the new pattern for both here. You’ll need to prepare accordingly.

Mains pattern changed
The Mains exam will consist of 160 questions from four subjects, carrying 200 marks. Last year, in 2025, 155 questions were asked, carrying 200 marks. Five questions have been added to the Quantitative Aptitude section. The total time period will also be increased by five minutes. The entire question will be completed in 125 minutes instead of 120.

Application Fee
To apply, candidates must first complete the registration process on the IBPS website. After this, they must log in and fill out the form. SC/ST/PWBD/ESM/DESM candidates must pay an online application fee of ₹175 and other candidates must pay ₹850.
