At least three people have been killed and 25 injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on the southern Russian city of Belgorod near the border with Ukraine, officials said on Sunday.
Regional Governor Alexander Shuvayev wrote on Telegram that four apartment blocks had been damaged. Images posted on social media showed several fires in the city, which lies about 30 kilometres from the Ukrainian border.
There was no information about the military targets of the attack. Belgorod is a logistical hub for supplying Russian troops shelling the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv and attacking targets in the Donbass industrial region.
Ukrainian forces have repeatedly targeted Belgorod, with energy infrastructure and other civilian facilities also affected.
Russian authorities also reported Ukrainian drone attacks on the Black Sea ports of Novorossiysk and Gelendzhik.
In Ukraine, overnight Russian missile strikes on the southern port city of Odessa injured at least six people, the city's military head Serhiy Lysak posted on Telegram.
Two people were killed and at least 21 injured in Kharkiv, in eastern Ukraine.
Ukraine has been warding off a full-scale Russian invasion since February 2022.
