A 13-year-old Windsor boy is facing several charges after allegedly stabbing another teenager during a fight early Friday.

Windsor police said officers responded to the report of a stabbing in the 3000 block of Jefferson Boulevard shortly after 2:30 a.m. Friday. They arrived to find a 16-year-old boy suffering from injuries consistent with stab wounds.

Police said the victim and accused, who know each other, got into an altercation at a residence.

The 13-year-old allegedly wielded an edged weapon, causing injuries to the victim. The 16-year-old was treated at hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Officers located and arrested the suspect at a home in east Windsor shortly before 4 a.m.

Police said circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.

But the 13-year-old boy, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and failure to comply with a release order.
