ITANAGAR, 6 Aug: The Paralympic Association of Arunachal (PAA) has admitted Beti Wallong, a promising para table tennis athlete from the Puroik community of East Kameng district, to a private school in Itanagar to continue her education while receiving regular sports training.
Wallong is an orphan. Recognising her exceptional talent, determination, and potential, the PAA has taken the responsibility of supporting her future by facilitating her admission to the school, where she will have access to quality education and structured training facilities to excel in para table tennis.
The PAA will bear her educational and training expenses, reaffirming its commitment to empowering talented para athletes and ensuring that financial or social challenges do not become barriers to their dreams.
The association expressed gratitude to PAA chairman Takam Pario for his “unwavering support, visionary leadership, and continued commitment to the welfare, education, and development of para athletes across the state.”
