Everyone knows there’s an iPhone event just around the corner, but if you don’t want to spend over a thousand dollars on a new phone, we’ve got a fantastic deal for you today: Best Buy is selling the iPhone Air for $850, a savings of $150 and the best price we’ve ever seen. And since this is an unlocked phone, there aren’t any carrier pitfalls to navigate.

The iPhone Air is Apple’s thinnest phone ever but still a powerhouse. It’s got a 6.5-inch display with an A19 Pro processor and 256GB of storage, and an incredibly strong frame. It won’t bend, break, or budge, but you’ll still barely know you’re carrying it around due to its remarkable 5.6mm body.

You’re only getting one camera with the iPhone Air, but it’s a good one. The iPhone Air has a 48MP Fusion camera system with 2X optical-quality zoom and digital zoom up to 10x. You’ll miss out on features like macro mode, telephoto zoom, and spatial photos, but if you just want to be able to take your phone out and snap a great pic, it’ll be more than enough.

And it’s a fine trade-off for how thin and light it is. I’ve been using the iPhone Air since last September, and I don’t think I’ll ever switch to another iPhone. The screen size is perfect and thanks to the thinness, I can comfortably use it with one hand. My fingers never touch the camera plateau, so it feels like I’m holding a thin piece of glass.

I’ll admit that at $999, the iPhone Air is a luxury item with too many tradeoffs for most people, but at this sale price of $849, you’ll wonder why you didn’t buy one earlier.
